3.1 Booking Process

The following information and criteria is required to confirm a booking for our services.

  • Guest Information: Full name, contact details, and valid identification.
  • Booking Dates: Preferred check-in and check-out dates.
  • Payment: A 30% deposit of the total service amount is required.

3.2 Booking Confirmation

Once we receive the deposit, we send you a confirmation message via Email or WhatsApp. You need to verify the message and notify us if any details are incorrect.

3.3 Payment Terms

  • Deposit: We mandate a minimum of 30% deposit at the time of booking.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 14 days before the scheduled service date. Any failure for prompt payment may result in the cancellation of your booking.

3.4 Accepted Payment Methods

Payments through UPI, Wise orbank transfer are acceptable. Every payment should be made in indian rupees (INR).

Houseboat Usage

5.1 Guest Conduct

We provide every essential facility to our guests with an expectation to value our assets, follow our houseboat regulations, and have responsible behavior. Our guests are liable to pay for any damages caused. We strictly prohibit the use of illegal substances or drugs.

5.2 Safety and Liability

Safety Equipment: We provide you with life jackets and other safety gear. We request that you familiarize yourself with safety procedures upon boarding.

Liability: We are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages that occur during your houseboat stay. Guests must prioritize their safety.

5.3 Environmental Responsibility

Alappuzha has its own local regulations and environmental guidelines, which should be followed by the residents and tourists.This includes minimizing disturbances to wildlife and keeping noise levels at a reasonable level.

Refund Policy

Alleppey Boat Company is committed to providing great hospitality and unmatchable experience to our guests. We respect your convenience and comprehend the fact that plans might change due to unchangeable circumstances. Considering this, we’ve outlined our Refund Policy.

  1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 Guest-Initiated Cancellations

Cancellation before more than 15 days from the Check-in date: A full refund of the booking amount will be issued, minus a ₹1500 processing/service fee.

Cancellation 7 to 14 days before check-in date: A 50% refund of the total booking amount will be issued.

Cancellation with less than 7 days for check-in: No refund will be provided.

1.2 No-Show Policy

If a guest fails to show up on the scheduled check-in date without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

2.1 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the cancellation request and issued to the original payment method. If payment was made via credit/debit card, additional time may be needed for the refund to appear due to bank processing times.

2.2 Partial Refunds

If a guest shortens their trip duration after starting the houseboat journey, no refund will be given for the unused service session.

  1. Booking Modifications

3.1 Rescheduling

Guests can reschedule their houseboat stay date free of additional service costs at least 14 days before the scheduled check-in date, based on availability. However, rescheduling within 14 days of the booked date may incur a ₹1500 service fee. Rates of new scheduled dates may vary depending on the demand traffic.

3.2 Itinerary Changes

Any modifications to the itinerary requested by the guest are considered a customization. It may result in additional charges, depending on the nature of the changes and availability.

  1. Cancellation by The Service Provider

4.1 Cancellation Due to Weather or Unforeseen Events

We might be forced to cancel our services due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, government restrictions, or others. 

4.2 Cancellation for Operational Reasons

If an emergency operational issue (e.g., mechanical problems with the houseboat) occurs, we need to cancel our service for the day.

In both these cases, we will offer one of the following options:

  • A full refund of the booking amount, or
  • The opportunity to reschedule the trip at no additional cost.
